“In closing this memorial service, we commend the essence of our brother to whatever fate he may have pre-selected from our convenient afterlife catalog.  He was always a private man and since he did not list his afterlife choice with his family or the church office we can only wish him the best, wherever he may be.” (Universalist Funeral Service)

In order to avoid the fate of this man, consider these things before your death comes, because it is important to be sure where you will spend eternity after you die. The Bible says, “It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes the judgment.” (Hebrews9:27) Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever Stolen anything? Have you ever Hated someone? Jesus calls hatred as Murder! Ever used God’s name carelessly or as a curse word, in vain?  That is called blasphemy. Would you be innocent or guilty? Do you think you would go to Heaven or Hell? The Good News is that God does not want you to go to hell. God sent His Son, Jesus, to earth 2,000 years ago. Jesus, being fully God and fully man (not half God and half man), He became the only acceptable sacrifice for our sins. Jesus lived a perfect life, without sin, and fulfilled God’s law, then died on a cross, and rose from the dead on the third day.  The Bible says if you will repent (admit and turn away from sin) and humble your heart, and then trust in Jesus alone for the forgiveness of your sins against God and others, then you will have eternal life. (Mark 1:15)
