QR codes are seemingly everywhere these days. Walk into an electronics store and you'll see QR codes on the signs in front of products. In some cities you can find QR codes on billboards. You scan the code with your Smart Phone and you can get more information over the Internet. The fact is, you probably reached this web page by scanning a QR code on the back of a business card that was given to you. The question on the front of the card is "Where will you spend Eternity?" We are thankful for your interest in determining the answer to that important question.

Many people have many different ideas about what happens when a person dies. Some believe in reincarnation. Some believe that nothing happens - you just get put in the box and then in the ground and rot. Others believe there is some judgment based on how good or bad you've been in this life and if you are "good enough" then you will go to a good place otherwise to a bad place. Still others believe that there is a temporary place of punishment where you pay for the wrong things that you have done for a time and then go to an eternal rest in Heaven.

So many ideas. Could it be that whatever you believe is truth for you? No. That does not make logical sense. Absolute truth means that something is true for all people regardless of their beliefs. When you scanned the QR code on the back of the card, your Smart Phone directed you to this page. It did not take you to any of the other billion web pages on the Internet just because you believed that the code would take you to any of them. The code is set to take you to one web page. This one!

The Bible says it is appointed once for man to die and then face judgment based on the Ten Commandments (Hebrews 9:27). Ever told a lie? Stolen anything? Used God's name as a curse word? That's blasphemy! Hated anyone or called them a fool? Jesus calls hatred murder!

Would you be innocent or guilty?

Most agree they will be guilty. However, some might say "innocent". If that is you, then please consider this. Let's say, you break three laws in the city where you live. You get caught and end up in court. You stand in front of the judge and you admit to breaking these laws. The judge will certainly find you guilty! If a human judge will find you guilty, how much more will the perfect God of the universe also find you guilty of breaking his perfect moral Law?

Would God send you to Heaven or Hell? If we are honest with ourselves, we clearly see from God's standard that we are all guilty and deserve nothing but Hell.

Does it concern you that your eternal destiny would be Hell? Remember it doesn't matter if you believe in God, Heaven and Hell, or even these standards. It only matters what is true.

You probably did not come to this web site or scan the code on the card to hear all this bad news and realize that your eternal destiny would be Hell. Ready for some good news?

The Good News!

The good news is that God does not want you to go to Hell (2 Peter 3:9). God sent his Son, Jesus, to earth 2,000 years ago. Jesus, being fully God and fully man lived a perfect life, fulfilled God's Law and willingly became the only acceptable sacrifice for sin. He died on the cross then rose from the dead defeating sin and death. The Bible says that if you will repent (turn away from sin) and trust Jesus alone, then you will have eternal life. (Mark 1:15, John 3:36)

So there you have it. The truth of God's Word. Just as the QR code takes you to this one web page, Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6) It doesn't matter what you believe. Only what is true. Repent and believe the Gospel!
